Having sex for the sole purpose of pleasure is a deviant act. Huge sections of society see people who have sex solely for fun rather than to have kids or those that gain sexual pleasure not through intercourse and thus having pleasure not through something which can result in procreation as disrupting ‘our way of life’ or ‘the family unit’ Thus queer people, practitioners of BDSM and the childfree are all seen as deviant.
